Welcome to the Local Skills Improvement Plan for the West Midlands and for Warwickshire
Shaping skills for a stronger future!
Looking to influence the future workforce and ensure skills provision meets real business needs? The Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) brings together employers, training providers, and key stakeholders to create a more responsive and effective skills system across the region.
Designed to reflect the priorities of local businesses, LSIP focuses on identifying current and future skills gaps, improving training pathways, and aligning provision with industry demand. Whether you're looking to address recruitment challenges, upskill your workforce, or have a voice in shaping local training, LSIP offers the platform and support to make it happen.
Led by Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce as the designated Employer Representative Body (ERB), the LSIP is being developed in line with Skills England's statutory guidance for Local Skills Improvement Plans (2026–29), with input from stakeholders across Coventry & Warwickshire, Greater Birmingham, the Black Country, the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA), Warwickshire
County Council (WCC) & Warwickshire Skills Hub.
