Warwick employment firm launches innovative hiring tool that reveals teams' true values

A Warwick employment consultancy is set to launch a digital tool to help businesses better understand the values of their teams and recruit staff who will fit more naturally into their working culture after support from a fully-funded business support service.

&Evolve, based at the Warwick Innovation Centre – part of the University of Warwick Science Park – has developed the Values Alignment Index, a digital platform which assesses the values of individuals and teams within an organisation and identifies how well they align.

Warwick employment firm launches innovative hiring tool that reveals teams' true values

The Values Alignment Index is set for a full launch in April 2026 following nearly two years of development supported by Business Ready, a fully funded business support programme run by the University of Warwick Science Park and funded by Warwickshire County Council.

The tool has been created to go beyond surface-level workplace surveys by focusing on the underlying values that influence how people think, behave and make decisions at work.

Managers and employees answer a series of research-led questions designed to reveal these deeper drivers, allowing the platform to build a picture of how teams function and where potential areas of conflict or collaboration may arise.

It can then recommend ways to improve team dynamics, strengthen workplace culture and guide organisations when hiring new staff who are more likely to integrate successfully into existing teams.

Through the programme, Business Ready adviser Mark Wisniewski worked closely with &Evolve founder Amrit Sandhar to help refine the product concept, develop a clear software specification and explore revenue and marketing strategies ahead of its launch.

The platform is expected to appeal to organisations ranging from SMEs to larger businesses, with HR leaders among those most likely to use the tool to better understand their workforce and guide recruitment decisions.

Amrit Sandhar, founder of &Evolve, said: “The way people work together is heavily influenced by their personal values, but most organisations never really get the chance to understand what those values are.

“After working in the employment industry for many years, I’ve seen how often businesses struggle with team dynamics or hiring people who don’t quite fit. Many use surveys to try and gauge things like wellbeing or pain points, but the data gained can be misleading and could vary depending on the mood of the person answering the survey.

“The Values Alignment Index is able to extract genuinely reliable data that businesses can actually use to understand their culture and make better hiring decisions.

“The support from Business Ready has been hugely important in helping us turn this idea into a clear and compelling product. Mark helped challenge our thinking, refine the concept and shape it into something that businesses and investors can immediately understand.

&Evolve has been operating for 11 years and now has a team of five people developing and preparing the platform for launch.

Mark Wisniewski, Business Support Adviser at Business Ready, said working with &Evolve had been an exciting opportunity to support a product with global potential.

He said: “Amrit came to us with a very ambitious idea around understanding how people’s values influence the way teams work together.

“We helped him distil that idea into a clear and practical product. We advised him on exploring different revenue models and helping prepare the platform for launch.

“The way the Values Alignment Index measures values means it has the potential to be used anywhere in the world, regardless of culture, language or geography, which makes it a particularly exciting product to bring to market.

“We’re really excited to follow the growth of &Evolve after the launch. The Values Alignment Index could make a massive difference to many of the businesses that use it.

Mark Ryder, Executive Director for Communities at Warwickshire County Council, said: “The Business Ready programme worked with Amrit and &Evolve to understand their needs, support them to develop their product and software specification along with setting a clear marketing strategy to support the launch.

“The bespoke support from the programme helped Amrit to turn an idea into a reality, setting out their focus which helped investors to make informed investments and set their product up for a global launch.”

Councillor Chris King, Warwick District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Place commented: “From the District Council’s perspective, it is extremely rewarding to see a local business like &Evolve living up to their name and ‘evolving’ thanks to their participation in the Business Ready Programme.

“We would strongly encourage other companies wanting to explore new markets or opportunities to follow their lead and visit the Business Ready website to find out about the specialist support that is available to them.”

Business Ready – High Growth and Innovation Business Support Programme forms part of Warwickshire County Council’s Business Growth Warwickshire.
