The course will cover a broad range of engineering disciplines, including Advanced Mechanical Principles, Virtual Engineering, Lean Manufacturing and Professional Engineering Management, ensuring students graduate with industry-relevant expertise.
The introduction of the HND reflects the company’s commitment to supporting local industry and addressing the ongoing skills shortage within engineering across the West Midlands. Coventry has long been recognised as a hub for advanced manufacturing and innovation, and this programme aims to strengthen that position by developing a pipeline of skilled talent.
“Our new Higher National Diploma in Engineering is an exciting addition to our training offer,” said Adam Murry, Curriculum Manager.
“We are dedicated to providing high-quality education that aligns with employer needs. This programme has been designed in collaboration with industry partners to ensure our learners are fully prepared for successful careers in engineering.”
The two-year qualification will combine classroom-based learning with a research project, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios. Learners will benefit from access to modern facilities, experienced Tutors with strong industry backgrounds, and guest lectures.
Applications for the September 2026 intake are now open, with places expected to fill quickly. The course is suitable for existing engineering professionals, technicians seeking career progression and individuals aspiring to management or specialist engineering roles.
