It comes as the venue has seen a 15 per cent rise in bookings for conferences and meetings over the past three months versus the same period last year.
Mallory’s Knight Suite – which can break out into three separate suites and accommodate up to 160 people – is at the heart of the hotel’s meetings and conferences, alongside private dining rooms in the property’s manor house.
The award recognises the venue’s championing of its local environment, including the launch of new delegate menus using ingredients from the property’s kitchen gardens to nourish guests – including herbs in beetroot, feta and soft herb salad.
Local experiences are also provided to delegates upon request, including a tour of the property’s kitchen garden, bee keeping, falconry, duck herding and archery to name a few; as well as working with group travel providers such as Cotswold Tours.
The venue’s communications to delegates before events was also welcomed by judges – encouraging the use of lift sharing, promoting EV charging points, and local transport links.
It also comes as Mallory was also recently award gold by Green Tourism, which is Green Meetings’ equivalent for hotels and the rest of the tourism industry.
Josefine Blomqvist, general manager at Mallory Court Hotel & Spa, said: “Our environment is precious, and businesses now more than ever want to be able to rightly demonstrate this mindset to their customers and their staff when hosting important meetings or away days.
“Our approach to sustainability has been evolving over the years to a point where we now have a healthy combination of sourcing cuisine locally, promoting green choices amongst out staff and guests, and providing interactive experiences within our grounds.
“Achieving Green Meetings Gold reflects the investment we have made in creating a more sustainable meetings and events offering, and it’s fantastic to see that recognised not only with this gold accreditation, but in our sales figures too.”
