Achieving Silver status demonstrates that LTS is not only meeting best practice requirements but is actively monitoring performance, reducing environmental impact and promoting high levels of driver training and vehicle safety.
Their latest accreditation comes at a time when the business is investing heavily in strengthening its operational capabilities and enhancing its fleet, compliance processes and sustainability initiatives, ensuring it remains at the forefront of industry standards while continuing to deliver reliable, high-quality logistics solutions for its growing customer base.
Established in 1999 as a transport and distribution operator, the company has grown from strength to strength over the decades, most notably since the company’s Managing Director Dave Hands joined the business in 2013, driving strategic growth and service innovation to meet evolving customer needs.
As a company that prides itself on instilling excellence across every aspect of its operation, LTS Global Solutions has undergone significant change in the years since, with the company investing over £2m over the past 24 months back into its operation.
As part of its ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards, LTS Global Solutions has implemented a range of measures aligned with FORS Silver requirements, including number of accidents, PCNs, vehicle MPGs, driver injuries (Riddor reportable), driver infringements, well-to-Wheel emissions.
With a 60‑strong fleet of vehicles up to 44 tonnes, all of which are Euro 6 compliant, and over 130,000 sq. ft of BRCGS‑accredited warehousing capacity in Birmingham – including specialist facilities for pallet, ambient and food storage – the company offers scale, flexibility and high‑quality logistics solutions designed around customer requirements.
This ongoing programme of investment has been a key driver in LTS maintaining FORS Silver accreditation for a 5th year according to Dave Hands, who has highlighted that maintaining the standard reflects the company’s focus on continuous improvement, staff development and training as well as its unwavering commitment to safety and sustainability.
He said: “We’re incredibly proud to have retained FORS Silver for the fifth year in a row. In an industry where standards are constantly evolving, maintaining this level of accreditation isn’t about standing still, it’s about consistently pushing ourselves to be better.
“We’ve made significant investments into our fleet, our people and our processes over the past few years, not just to meet the FORS standard, but to exceed it. That means better training, smarter use of data, improved vehicle safety technology and a continued focus on reducing our environmental impact in any way we can.
“Ultimately, this gives our customers the confidence that they’re working with a logistics partner that takes compliance, safety and sustainability seriously – and that we’re committed to continuous improvement in everything we do.
Dave continued: “It must be said that this achievement also reflects the culture we’ve endeavoured to build at LTS.
“From our drivers and warehouse operatives through to our compliance and management functions, everyone is on the same page and understands the importance of doing things the right way which has played a huge part in making our operations smoother, more efficient, and ultimately safer for everyone involved.”
