Whether it’s hosting a bake sale or coffee morning, putting on a show, selling handmade crafts, or something altogether more entrepreneurial, any idea that grows an initial £5 investment is encouraged. Designed to be accessible, inclusive and engaging, the challenge empowers everyone to get involved and make a meaningful impact.
Funds raised will directly support Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s wide-ranging mental health services, which include counselling, crisis support, suicide prevention and community-based wellbeing groups. The charity supports thousands of people each year and is committed to ensuring that everyone has access to the emotional wellbeing support they need.
The Fiver to Thrive Challenge builds on Kaleidoscope’s wider programme of fundraising events and activities which aim to inspire communities to come together, raise awareness and break down the stigma surrounding mental health.
Participants can take part individually or as part of a team, making it an ideal opportunity for corporate groups, schools and community organisations looking to make a difference while fostering creativity and teamwork.
Calum Nisbet, CEO at Kaleidoscope Plus Group, said: "Fiver to Thrive is all about showing that small actions can create a big impact.
"By starting with just £5, we’re encouraging people to get creative, come together and raise vital funds that help us continue delivering life-changing mental health support. Every pound raised helps us reach more people who need us."
With mental health challenges affecting 1 in 6 people in England each week, initiatives like Fiver to Thrive play a crucial role in ensuring support services remain accessible and sustainable.
Kaleidoscope Plus Group has invited every school in Sandwell to take part and encourages those involved to share their journey which can help spark vitally important conversations around mental health whilst also raising essential funds.
