The three-hour accredited course combines expert instruction with hands-on practical training, ensuring participants leave with the knowledge to act quickly and effectively when every second counts.
The training covers the essential principles of Basic Life Support, including assessing an emergency safely, recognising when someone is unresponsive, carrying out a primary assessment using the ABC approach, placing a casualty into the recovery position, performing effective adult CPR and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Participants will also learn when and how to contact the emergency services and understand the critical importance of early intervention during cardiac arrest.
The course is suitable for a wide range of people, including healthcare professionals, care home and domiciliary care staff, dental and GP practice teams, fitness instructors, sports coaches, teachers, childcare providers, workplace first aiders and anyone who wants to gain essential life-saving skills.
Delivered by an experienced instructor, the course offers accredited, practical training in small groups to maximise individual support and confidence. Participants will receive certification on successful completion where applicable.
