The event, formerly known as the Deeley Group Charity Band Night, brought together businesses and guests from across the region for an evening of live music and fundraising.
It also formed part of the family businesses’ 90th anniversary celebrations, with the latest fundraising total meaning the events have raised more than £100,000 for charitable causes since being launched.
Gig for Good was organised by Trustees of the Deeley Group Charity and this year supported Coventry, Warwickshire & Worcestershire Mind, which is marking its 60th year.
The money raised will go towards the charity’s work supporting people with their mental health across Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
Coventry, Warwickshire & Worcestershire Mind works with children, young people and adults, offering practical and emotional support through a wide range of services across the Midlands.
This year’s fundraising will help the charity strengthen support in Coventry, including at a new supported living scheme in Foleshill which is due to open this year.
The 26-bed facility will provide a stepping stone for people leaving mental health units, helping them to rebuild independence and move back into community life.
Gig for Good will also support the charity’s eco-therapy programme in Spon End, where people are supported to improve their wellbeing through outdoor activity, nature and time spent in green spaces.
Jade Clarke, Business Development Manager of Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Deeley Group and everyone who supported Gig for Good.
"Raising more than £30,000 is a fantastic achievement and will make a real difference to people experiencing mental health challenges across Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, this support will help us continue providing vital services in local communities.”
Carol Maughan-Smith, a Trustee of the Deeley Group Charity, said: “To have hit the £100,000 milestone is a fantastic achievement and we are incredibly proud of how much money we have been able to raise for local causes.
“A huge thank you must go to everyone who has attended and supported the events over the year.
“We are incredibly grateful to all of the businesses, guests, sponsors and supporters who made Gig for Good such a success and helped us to raise a fantastic total for Coventry, Warwickshire & Worcestershire Mind.”
