Held at Eastside Rooms in Birmingham, the event was hosted by Scottish comedian Fred MacAulay and attracted leading figures from across the Midlands to celebrate work in the residential property sector.
Jake Bishop, a site manager for Deeley Construction, was also shortlisted on the evening for Emerging Property Person of the Year.
Property Personality of the Year was the final award announced. Eleanor was praised for her work in modernising the sector, encouraging diversity and being an inspirational figure for females and other minority groups in the industry.
Eleanor joined Deeley Group in 2019 and has more than 25 years’ experience in the property sector.
She became joint managing director in 2022; leading the business on a new strategy for growth in key sectors including healthcare, residential and commercial.
This includes the land development team, which focuses on speculative and pre-let developments in all aspects of commercial property, including retail, office, industrial, care and mixed-use developments.
Eleanor is also a Non-Executive Director for East Midlands Development Company and sits on the Policy Liaison Group (PLG) for Housing Market and Housing Delivery.
She has become a leading national advocate for the property sector in recent years, regularly appearing on TV, radio and in the wider media to highlight the challenges facing the industry, with a focus on housing and the planning system.
Eleanor said: “It’s really special to be nominated and to have received this award, particularly when I had no idea about it before the evening!
“I will continue to speak out and advocate for the property sector, which is even more important in a period of change and with a general election fast approaching. We are looking for specific planning changes, especially around housing targets and planning rules for SMEs.
“We attended the awards ceremony with a group of colleagues to celebrate the achievements of Jake Bishop and I would like to personally congratulate him on making the shortlist for Emerging Property Person of the Year. He has an incredibly bright future in the sector.
“It was a fantastic evening celebrating the brilliant work by firms and individuals across our region’s property sector.”
