CW Champions events take place every two months to help build relationships, exchange ideas and hear directly from influential figures and organisations making an impact across the region.
Previous speakers have ranged from broadcaster and journalist Jon Snow to representatives from an Academy Award-winning special effects company, giving members unique access to the region’s success stories.
The latest gathering featured Adele Adams, founder of Blabers Hall Wine Estate in North Warwickshire. She shared the story behind launching the vineyard in 2016 and its growth into a successful wine producer and visitor destination that now hosts a range of events for businesses and the public.
Guests also heard from Daren Bowyer, the 34th Master of The Lord Leycester in Warwick.
He provided an insight into one of Europe's most important groups of medieval buildings and explained how the historic institution continues to evolve today, including opening its long-standing Brethren's Prayers tradition to visitors.
The event concluded with an interview with Martin Grove, managing director of Aluflam UK – the Coventry-based division of the international manufacturer of aluminium fire-rated glazing systems.
He discussed the company's heritage, international reach and decision to establish its UK base at the University of Warwick Science Park's Business Innovation Centre in Binley.
Sharon Stilgoe, commercial manager of CW Champions, said: “One of the greatest strengths of CW Champions is the variety of stories, experiences and perspectives that our members can access through the community.
“At a single event, members heard from an entrepreneur who has built a thriving vineyard in North Warwickshire, learned about one of the region's most significant historic institutions, and gained insight from an international manufacturer that has chosen Coventry as its UK home.
“Those conversations reflect what CW Champions is all about. We bring together businesses and leaders through connection, create opportunities to discover innovation, provide a vibrant programme of events, and encourage collaboration across different sectors and communities.
“These events are about much more than networking. They help members build meaningful relationships, uncover opportunities and gain a deeper understanding of the organisations helping to shape Coventry and Warwickshire.
“That's why so many business leaders continue to make CW Champions a valued part of their professional network. The community brings together people who are passionate about the success of our region and want to play an active role in its future.”
CW Champions is a membership community for businesses of all sizes across Coventry and Warwickshire, providing regular networking events, exclusive access to regional insights, and opportunities to build relationships with key decision-makers from across the public and private sectors.
