Organisers this year are expecting a focus on sustainability and energy efficient products, as owners seek to use heat pumps and other technology to reduce the costs of running hot tubs at home, while reducing the impact they have on the environment.
According to the Wet Leisure 2022 survey, 86.5 per cent of customers in the sector are looking for eco-friendly and energy saving products.
There is also anticipated to be an increased spotlight on ice baths and cold-water therapy – as people become more aware of how techniques can aid muscle recovery, boost immune systems, and improve your mood.
Manufacturer, Superior Wellness, is just one of several companies displaying chill tubs at SPATEX 2024. The company launched the range ahead of SPATEX last year in response to increased popularity of ice baths and heightened market demand.
The show transforms the Arena into a hub for the water leisure industry, with the exhibition halls being filled with the latest and most innovative swimming pools, hot tubs, ice baths, saunas, enclosures, pergolas, and steam rooms.
This year’s event, which is now in its 28th year, is again set to attract the world’s leading suppliers and manufacturers, with over a hundred exhibitors.
SPATEX is again offering a free-to-attend, double seminar programme, featuring insights from industry experts.
This will include presentations from representatives from the Institute of Swimming, Legionella Control Association and many more.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy a synchronised swimming display from the Swimming Teachers Association (STA) in one of the pools at the show across all three days, raising funds for the British Heart Foundation.
