The company is moving into 130,615 sq ft premises at Power Park Coventry, where it plans to make 500 autonomous vehicles each year.
Ed Bunbury, a partner at Bromwich Hardy, arranged the deal on behalf of former tenants REE Automotive UK Ltd, who have now assigned the lease to Aurrigo, who will pay a rent of £850,000 per annum to landlord Oxenwood Real Estate.
Mr Bunbury said: “We’re pleased to have concluded this deal which will now see a huge expansion by Aurrigo, eventually creating new jobs in Coventry.”
The new facility also gives Aurrigo space for an on-site autonomous vehicle test track to support faster development.
The move by Aurrigo comes after it raised £14.1m for its expansion at the end of last year.
Prof David Keene, chief executive of Aurrigo, said: “We are really pleased to have secured a new home in Coventry, just a few miles from our existing site.
“This is a place where we can create jobs for highly skilled people and the next generation of engineers and software specialists.”
Bromwich Hardy worked on the deal for REE Automotive as joint agents with Box 4 Real Estate. They liaised closely with Bill Wareing of Wareing & Company, the agent for Aurrigo.
Cherry Elliott, a consultant at Talbots Law, provided legal advice on the deal for REE Automotive, while Susan Grazier, a senior associate solicitor at Lanton Bowdler, acted for Aurrigo.
