Slam Transport has moved its headquarters to Hazell Way in Nuneaton, a warehouse with offices extending to more than 154,000 sq ft, nearly twice the size of its former premises at Dutton Road in Coventry.

The company, which also has bases in Yorkshire and Scotland, operates a modern fleet of more than 240 advanced trucks and trailers, delivering freight transport and storage solutions to clients in the UK and abroad.

Acting on behalf of Deeley Group, the vendor, Bromwich Hardy sold Hazell Way to Slam Transport for an undisclosed price, although it was understood to be a multi-million pound deal.

Mark Booth, senior surveyor at Bromwich Hardy, said: “We are delighted to have negotiated and achieved completion on the sale of Hazell Way in Nuneaton.

“This is a major move for Slam Transport that will bring new investment and jobs to the Nuneaton area.

“It is pleasing to once again see the commercial property market remaining active in our region.”

Hazell Way is just four miles north of Junction 3 of the M6, with 154,391 sq ft of interior space on a site of two acres.

The warehouse has an eaves height of 9m with 10 dock level loading doors and four level access loading doors, and a 30m deep yard area, plus two-storey office accommodation.

Ben Acheson of Hill Dickinson solicitors in Birmingham acted for the vendor, with Nirav Shah of Excello Law in London advising the buyer.
