Commenting on Baldish’s appointment, Beverley Morris said: “When Divorce & Family Law Practice merged with Lodders in July of last year the objective was simple - maintain the standard of client commitment and excellence in delivery of family law. Having achieved that, the family team have sought growth and we are delighted to welcome Baldish Khatkar as senior associate.”
Baldish’s move to Lodders in Birmingham’s St Paul’s Square follows the closure of Blair Allison last month (September), a law firm well regarded for its work for children’s guardians and individuals needing representation in public law proceedings, and with a long history and strong reputation for its family law expertise.
Beverley Morris continued: “Having worked with Baldish on the Resolution Committee for a number of years I understand her approach is one of problem solving. She has strength in children and financial matters and an absolute commitment to client care.”
Baldish, who is fluent in Punjabi and conversational Urdu and Hindi, adds: “Having specialised in Family Law for 19 years and practiced in an issues- and outcomes-driven manner, I am delighted to join the firm and a team with a wealth of experience, commitment and formidable reputation for this specialist area.”
Moving with Baldish to Lodders from Blair Allison is Legal Secretary Gurinder Johal, who will also be based in Birmingham.
The appointments coincide with the recruitment of family law consultant Zoe Lane Smith. Zoe was a Barrister at Birmingham’s No 5 Chambers and spent over 20 years practising in the field of family law. She will work in Lodders new Cheltenham office at Glensanda House, 1 Montpellier Parade, Cheltenham, GL50 1UA and will work closely with Beverley who continues to head up the family law team.
