The LSIF programme has strengthened regional collaboration, modernised FE facilities, enhanced employer engagement, improved workforce capability, and created stronger progression pathways for learners into employment and further study.
The programme also established long-term partnerships and sustainable delivery models that will continue beyond the funding period.
The programme developed new low-carbon construction centres, retrofit training facilities, heat pump workshops, and specialist curriculum provision to support sustainable construction skills.
A regional approach to embedding sustainability and green skills across FE provision was established through collaborative roadmaps, staff development, and digital resources.
Projects supported digital inclusion, curriculum development, staff upskilling, and improved digital learning facilities for learners and businesses across the region.
The Skills West Midlands and Warwickshire (Skills WMW) initiative created a shared employer engagement model, digital platform, and coordinated regional approach to promoting FE skills provision and business support.
