What we’re looking for from you…
The role involves delivering confident and engaging training sessions, making good use of digital tools, and building a learning environment where apprentices can develop their technical skills as well as maths, English and wider professional behaviours. You will guide individuals through regular tutorials, offer clear and constructive feedback, track progress carefully and support apprentices to meet their goals within agreed timescales.
The ideal candidate will have strong competency in early years care and experience delivering vocational learning. You will be organised, proactive and able to keep content current while maintaining a high standard of teaching and assessment. The role involves working closely with employers, clients and examining bodies, marking work to national standards and motivating apprentices to achieve successful outcomes. A teaching qualification is desirable, and you must be able to drive with daily access to a vehicle.

Main duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for the design and delivery of Early Years Practitioner, Early Years Educator and Early Years Lead Practitioner apprenticeship programmes from levels 2 to 5.
Role and responsibilities
- Plan and design curriculum in line with apprenticeship standards, individual and employer needs.
- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources.
- Deliver training sessions to national standards at levels 2 to 5 to groups of apprentices.
- Design course materials and other documents such as hand-outs, manuals and exercises.
- Prepare the learning environment and resources.
- Deliver engaging training sessions, including the use of technology.
- Support and coach individuals to improve skills and knowledge.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the training and course outcomes.
- Liaise with employers, clients, examining bodies.
- Maintain learning materials, currency and content.
- Use online training technology and resources.
- Mark work and provide high quality, constructive feedback in a timely manner.
- Establish targets and timescales with individuals.
- Monitor the progress of individuals.
- Provide regular tutorials.
- Embed maths and English skills development into learning.
- Embed personal skills development, including professional behaviours, equality and diversity etc.
- Support, advise and motivate apprentices to complete work within planned timescales.
- Provide consistent delivery of 'good’ or 'outstanding’ teaching and learning.
Person Specification:
- Competency in early years care
- Experience of delivering vocational education and learning
- Teaching qualification (desirable)
- Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills
- Exemplary track record of progression and achievement
- Able to drive with access to a vehicle on a daily basis
