Many are well‑known within their own communities, yet their contributions often go unrecognised more widely.
“This year’s recipients reflect an inspiring range of achievements and offer a glimpse into the character of our region and the people who make it exceptional. We are deeply grateful for all they do, day in and day out, and I am truly delighted to see so many receive the recognition they deserve in the New Year Honours.
“Through the work of the West Midlands Lieutenancy, I meet many people who give their time and energy to support others. Now more than ever, there are countless unsung heroes worthy of honour - they simply need someone to put their name forward. I encourage everyone across the region to think about who is making a real difference, so we can continue to celebrate and acknowledge the outstanding individuals who enrich our communities.”
The individual Honours are announced twice a year to mark The King’s official birthday in June and the New Year Honours which are announced at the end of December.
