Once again, there is a very impressive range of destinations that have been secured by Year 13 students
that they and their Teachers and parents should be rightly proud of.”
Further highlights of this year’s fantastic student results and destinations include:
- 92% of the whole cohort achieved grades between A* and C and / or Distinction* and Merit
 - 67% of A Level students gained A* to C
 - Our engineering specialist subjects have secured outstanding results in all Level 3 qualifications with
 - 89% students achieving D* to M; these include:
 - 100% Distinction* to Merit in Cambridge Technical in Engineering
 - 88% Distinction* to Merit in BTEC in Engineering
 - 86% A* to C in A Level Electronics
 - 75% Distinction* to Merit in Engineering T-Level
 - 63% of our Year 13 applied for university courses and all have secured places; in addition 11 students are heading off to start Level 3 and 4 Apprenticeships. The remaining cohort are starting full time employment or a Gap year
 - 83% of BTEC Triple Science students achieved D*D*D* to DDD (100% D*D*D* to MMM)
 - 61% of students were awarded Distinction and Distinction* in Cambridge Technical in Business
Priyanka and Jahnavi were our highest achieving student achieving Distinction*, A*, A in Engineering, Maths and Physics and A*. A, A, B in Maths, Physics, Computer Science and Further Maths. 
The following students secured some of the highest possible grades in all their subjects:
- Michael O: A*- Maths; A - Physics; A - Chemistry
 - Maheem J: D* - Engineering; A* - Maths; A - Physics
 - Bethan D: A* - Product Design; A - Electronics; A - Maths
 - Aliham K, Ibrahim R and Leon T: D*D - Engineering; D* - Business
 - Jesse M: D*D*D - BTEC Science.
 
NB: D and D* grades refer to Distinction and Distinction* grades available on Engineering and Science
BTEC qualifications. D* is equivalent to A* and D is equivalent to A.

We have once again this year seen increasing numbers of students pursuing higher education at prestigious universities in their chosen STEM subject. It is also pleasing to see a good number of students securing highly sought after Degree Apprenticeships, from both large and medium sized companies.
WMG Academy for Young Engineers is proud to be partnered with a large number of national and international employer partners who work with students to develop their employability skills, which is
evident in the fantastic destinations that many students have secured.”
WMG Academy for Young Engineers provides GCSE, A-level and BTEC education for 13 to 19 year olds. It
opened in 2014 and specialises in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. The Academy is
proud to offer learners between the ages of 13 and 19 a unique educational pathway, blending vocational learning, employability skills, academic teaching, business partners and technical expertise to create the engineers, computer scientists and scientists of the future. Starting in September 2026, WMG Academies (Coventry and Solihull) will introduce Year 9 admissions for the first time, offering students an earlier opportunity to engage with our industry-led STEM curriculum and employer-driven learning programmes.
