The award was presented by Edwina Rowe, a distinguished representative of The Arts Society, who recognised Grace’s outstanding work and remarkable dedication to her art. As part of the ceremony, Grace participated in an interview and photoshoot alongside Ms. Rowe, offering insight into her creative journey and aspirations.
Grace, who will be advancing her studies at De Montfort University to pursue a degree in Contour Fashion, impressed the selection panel with her innovative design work, artistic vision, and commitment to developing her craft. Her portfolio showcased not only technical skill but a strong conceptual approach, setting her apart from her peers.
The award, made possible by The Arts Society Royal Leamington Spa, provides vital financial support across all three years of Grace’s higher education journey. It is aimed at empowering young artists to continue their practice at university level without financial barriers, and celebrates promising new talent emerging from local education.
Speaking about the recognition, Grace said: “This award means so much to me - it’s an incredible honour and a huge encouragement as I prepare for university. The support will allow me to focus fully on developing my skills and creativity in a field I’m passionate about.”
Edwina Rowe added: “We’re delighted to support a student as dedicated and talented as Grace. Her work stood out for its originality and thoughtful execution. The Arts Society is committed to fostering young artists, and Grace is a wonderful example of the potential we aim to nurture.”
