Love will be brewing at Tales of Tea, which is located in the Guildhall’s Undercroft, where couples are invited to enjoy a delicious Valentine’s-inspired menu of finger sandwiches, sweet treats and freshly baked scones with tea or coffee.
This will include a range of sandwiches, from Severn and Wye smoked salmon with black pepper cream cheese to Croxton Manor Mature Cheddar and red onion marmalade, and sweet treats including a white chocolate and strawberry heart and a heart-shaped vanilla shortbread biscuit.
A menu of specially-crafted Valentine’s cocktails will also be available for visitors to sip in style.
For families, the venue will be holding a host of magical events throughout February half term, and little explorers will be able to enjoy a Fascinating Fairy Trail and discover magical surprises hidden around the Guildhall.
Youngsters will also be able to get creative at the Fantasy Craft Table and take part in craft activities inspired by folklore and fantasy, as well as get hands on with new interactive games and a augmented reality digital tour where scenes from the past come to life.
Daily tours will also be held, and curious minds will be able to find out more about the history of the Guildhall from its knowledgeable team of expert guides.
Abi Moore, Heritage and Venue Manager at St Mary’s Guildhall, which is operated by No Ordinary Hospitality, said: “We’re excited to welcome both couples and families to enjoy the wide variety of activities on offer this half term.
