The collaboration with Mallory Court, which was crowned Best Large Hotel at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2025, features hand-drawn illustrations inspired by the magnolia trees in Mallory Court’s gardens.
Each piece, rooted in the tradition of Victorian botanical drawings, includes a subtle pink accent over black-and-white illustrations, with an “MC” inscription discreetly placed at the base of each piece and within the mugs and bowls.
Sarah, who in addition to being a renowned florist, creates beautiful artworks to adorn stunning fine bone china collections, said it was a “dream come true to design a bespoke collection for such a prestigious brand”.
“It’s all about creating something artistically pleasing that still has a function. It’s a great feeling knowing guests visiting a place as special Mallory Court can enjoy these designs in their rooms,” she said.
The crockery is handcrafted in small batches in Stoke-on-Trent, with each piece individually screen-printed in close collaboration with Sarah.
She said: “It’s been a fantastic experience, from coming up with the design to witnessing the care that goes into every single piece that comes out of the kiln.
“It’s all in the composition, and the fact that has been respected from start to finish means we have been able to produce something truly unique and beautiful.
“I’m immensely proud of the outcome, and the fact that guests have already been requesting to buy them for their own homes is a great compliment to what we’ve created together.”
Josefine Blomqvist, General Manager at Mallory Court Hotel, which is part of the Eden Hotel Collection, said: “We are always keen to champion talented local creators and suppliers, and Sarah is no exception.
“Having worked with her previously at our sister property, The Arden Hotel, we knew her attention to detail and sensitivity to design would be a perfect fit for Mallory Court.
“Her bespoke creations add something truly special to the guest experience here.”
