It led to a collaboration and, one year on, that relationship is going strong with Sam providing ongoing social media management to The HR Dept as well as strategic input on brand visibility and consistent communication.
Sam said: "I was actually taking Charlotte's details to potentially support another client of mine, but we immediately got on and stayed in touch.
“Although the original referral opportunity didn’t materialise, the connection proved valuable in an unexpected way. Charlotte was looking for consistent social media marketing support to allow her to focus on delivering HR services to her clients and remembered the conversation.
“The relationship has gone from strength to strength and it’s great to be working with such a like-minded Coventry business.”
Charlotte, who offers adaptable and cost-effective HR support to SMEs, said: "Connecting with Sam and working with her professionally has been fantastic for my business. Her services leave me free to focus on my clients and running my business.
“We collaborate on everything we do, and Sam is open to discussion about ideas as well as trying new marketing options. It goes to show the power of networking and how invaluable the Chamber is to businesses."
As a Chamber member since 2024, 1641 continues to use networking as a way to build meaningful local relationships that support sustainable business growth.
Hazel Pilling, membership manager of the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “Our networking events are a great way of connecting businesses together and it’s great to see this partnership flourishing.
“That’s why we’d encourage members to make the most of the opportunity to get out, meet one another and potentially do business together.”
Sam established 1641 in 2018 and has worked with everything from games developers to private investigators while The HR Dept Coventry was established in 2024 and is passionate about supporting local SMEs which don’t have an in-house HR professional.
