The event shone a national spotlight on HORIBA MIRA’s industry-leading capabilities. As part of the visit, the Prime Minister met with members of the company’s early careers cohort, including apprentices and graduate engineers, gaining insight into the skills pipeline being nurtured right here in Warwickshire.
He also received an introduction to several of HORIBA MIRA’s emerging innovation areas – including its advanced battery development and validation capabilities, and its new water quality analysis solutions. Both offer tangible support to the Government’s net zero and clean growth ambitions.
Delegates from the MIRA Technology Institute and North Warwickshire & South Leicestershire College were on hand to showcase how the MTP campus is building future-ready skills in EV engineering, artificial intelligence, and robotics.
Rachel Taylor MP for North Warwickshire and Bedworth said hosting the launch at HORIBA MIRA “reflects the West Midlands’ centrality to the nation’s industrial ambitions.” Bosch UK echoed this, calling it a clear signal of support for clean energy and manufacturing sectors.
The Industrial Strategy includes commitments to reduce industrial energy costs, expand workforce training, increase financial support, and reduce regulatory barriers.
