Two more events will follow in 2026 – in the north and south of the county – with a view to helping individual businesses themselves but also as well as providing a collective boost Warwickshire’s high streets.
The roadshow is part of the Project Warwickshire Business Support Programme, which the Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce deliver on behalf of Warwickshire County Council and forms part of the Business Growth Warwickshire programme. It is funded by UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Warwickshire County Council
The Warwick High Street Roadshow took place at the Court House in Warwick and included information on support available, how to use marketing and social media to drive footfall as well as updates on the latest initiatives.
Speakers included Sarah Humphreys, Business Support Manager at Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce; Joanne Randall, Strategic Economic Development Officer at Warwick District Council; Kelly Scott, Warwick Town Centre Manager; Kim Hulse, Social Media Manager for Visit Warwickshire and Katie Wilbur, of Cotswold Connected, who delivered the workshop.
The Nuneaton & Bedworth event, held at Saints Nuneaton, also heard from Sarah, Kim and Katie and included presentations from Carol Ingleston, Economic Development & Engagement Support Officer at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council; and Bogdan Fironda, Community Safety Project Manager at Warwickshire County Council.
Sarah said: “We are delighted to be supporting our amazing Warwickshire high streets and the businesses on them with this series of roadshows.
“The first two have proved to be really popular and we’ll be coming back with more in 2026 in Stratford and North Warwickshire.
“We’ve had great speakers providing information and inspiration to businesses and the events have been delivered by Katie Wilbur with a theme around the power of marketing.
“It has included marketing strategies tailored for high street businesses, tips to maximise kerb appeal and attract passing trade, guidance on how to get discovered online, proven ways to generate and increase footfall as well as opportunities to network with other local business owners.
“They’ve proved to be very successful and we’d urge high street businesses to get in touch with the team if they need support – and also to find our more about next year’s events.”
