The sport, a cross between dodgeball and paintball, sees two teams equipped with bows face off from each other, with foam arrows in the middle of the pitch. When the game starts, teams race to the middle to collect the arrows and then fire them at each other until one team is eliminated.
This new activity is the latest feature in Go Ape's corporate packages at Coombe Abbey Hotel, which already include an exhilarating high-ropes course and axe throwing. The aim is to provide companies with unique, memorable experiences that strengthen team morale and encourage collaboration in a fun, non-traditional setting.
It comes after Coombe Abbey Hotel recently completed an extensive redesign of eight of its historic rooms to mark its 30 years as a hotel.
The refurbishments respect Coombe Abbey’s long history, while ensuring guests can still enjoy modern features.
Ron Terry, Group Operations Director at No Ordinary Hospitality Management, the operators of Coombe Abbey Hotel said: “We wanted to offer corporate customers something a little different alongside our high-ropes course and axe throwing.
“Archery Tag is an adrenaline-fuelled activity which helps encourage teamwork and strategy, and is something a lot of people won’t have necessarily tried before.
“Our grounds offer the perfect space to host such events. The surroundings are stunning, spacious, and full of character, making every experience even more immersive.
“We hope plenty of companies enjoy trying it out as part of a stay at Coombe Abbey for an away day or team-bonding trip.”
Coombe Abbey Hotel offers a variety of different corporate packages, taking in a stay at the hotel and full use of its conference facilities, dining options for up to 500 guests, use of the Go Ape high-ropes course, and more.
Its tranquil yet convenient setting, just a short drive from Coventry city centre, makes it ideal for away days, corporate retreats, and team-building escapes.
