A slice of the Big Apple is coming to Coombe Abbey Hotel this festive season, with the award-winning venue set to channel the glitz and glamour of New York City as part of its Christmas celebrations for 2025.
With immersive, cabaret-style parties joining its beloved line-up of medieval feasts, family lunches with Santa and festive afternoon teas, the historic hotel – set in 500 acres of parkland – is offering a packed programme of events designed to bring people of all ages together this winter.
The headline event for 2025 is its Christmas in New York Party Nights, an immersive themed experience that transforms Coombe Abbey’s marquee into a glittering Big Apple-inspired celebration.
Guests who want to be a part of it will step into a fully-themed venue featuring a replica Statue of Liberty, a sparkling dance floor, and a Times Square-style photo area.
The evening also includes a specially crafted New York cocktail and themed canapés, followed by a three-course festive dinner, high-energy entertainment, and a silent disco.
The night finishes with a midnight snack of warm bacon bagels – a nod to NYC’s iconic street food. Christmas in New York runs on selected dates in December and is suitable for guests aged 18 and over.
For those seeking something steeped in tradition, but plenty of Christmas camaraderie, Coombe Abbey’s Festival Medieval Banquet will welcome guests with a mead cocktail before enjoying a four-course feast with goblets of wine and lager, as well as an interactive live show inspired by Coombe’s royal connections.
Dressing smart or in full medieval costume is encouraged, with outfits available to hire from Glad Rags Fancy Dress.
Families can look also forward to Festive Lunch with Santa, served in the hotel’s Garden Room Restaurant. A traditional three-course lunch will be accompanied by a visit from Santa, who is also heading to fellow No Ordinary Hospitality venue St Mary’s Guildhall in December, and a selection box gift for each child.
The surrounding parkland offers a perfect setting for a winter walk, while The Avenue at Coombe – home to the Abbey Artisan Market – offers the chance to shop for seasonal produce, handmade gifts and enjoy artisan coffee.
Back by popular demand, Coombe Abbey’s Festive Afternoon Tea also returns with a New York twist.
Hosted in the hotel’s marquee, the event features traditional tiered afternoon tea with a touch of NYC glamour, accompanied by live carol singing.
