He identified Bromwich Hardy as one of the leading agencies in the Midlands and wrote to them directly to request an internship.

Mr Cooke, aged 20, is keen on sport, playing cricket for his hometown team and dodgeball at university. He also enjoys playing the guitar and countryside walks.
He said: "Everyone at Bromwich Hardy has been really welcoming and friendly, which gives the office a calm, relaxed atmosphere.
“I've enjoyed learning the basics, how to talk with clients, measurement taking, data research and admin work.
“We also had a work event where we went clay pigeon shooting which really helped me get on with everyone and feel like I'm part of the team.
“I really look forward to learning how the industry works and putting the things taught to me at university into practice.
“I hope to become a chartered surveyor in the future and work as an agent, and perhaps as a landlord as well.”
