It was formerly The Red Lion pub until it closed in the late 1980s, after which it served as a branch of Lloyds Bank.

It is believed to date from around 1820 and provides 4,688 sq ft across three floors.

Tom Bromwich, managing partner of Bromwich Hardy, said: “10-12 Swan Street provides one of Warwickshire’s global success stories with room to grow and we are pleased to have achieved a successful investment sale on behalf of our clients.”

Warwick Relief in Need is a charity formed in 1976 by the Charity Commissioners, consisting of an amalgamation of a number of old Warwick charities.

It provides grants to applicants in need who must live within the boundaries of the town of Warwick and have been referred by social services, the Citizens’ Advice Bureau or similar organisation.

Bromwich Hardy was instructed to sell or let the property with joint agents Godfrey-Payton. Moore & Tibbits Solicitors acted for the trustees of Warwick Relief in Need.
