How BEAS helped Sheldon’s Whiteley Brooks
Whiteley Brooks, a manufacturing business based in Coventry, has been trading for over 60 years, producing components for sectors such as motorsport and Formula 1, shipping their parts to over 24 countries worldwide.
Jat Purewal, the director at Whiteley Brooks, registered to the BEAS programme to help create a sustainability plan for the business. Two BEAS business advisers arrived to visit the premises to complete a free energy audit and a detailed business diagnostic.
The BEAS team identified several areas for improvement, including the potential to save over 38 tonnes of carbon each year through energy-efficiency upgrades and the potential to introduce new machinery, which would cut manufacturing times.
