Last year, with help from local employers and the public, BYP supported 102 young people through its warm space at Bardsley House, Hill Top — providing food, clothing, and tenancy support.
Every meal shared is an opportunity to connect, to talk through housing and money issues and access emotional support. “It’s about more than food — it’s about supporting them to be in the best place, mentally and physically, to go out and work, or learn, securing a future for themselves beyond what they are experiencing at the moment.” Said Rachel Orman, Communications & Fundraising Worker
How local businesses can help:
- Sponsor a number of meals in multiples of £5 via the campaign: www.justgiving.com/campaign/nourish-connect-support-25-26
- Host a festive fundraiser – a Christmas jumper day, festive meal or group challenge
It’s a simple, yet tangible way for Coventry’s business community to show young people they matter. We love to shout about the donations you make! To arrange publicity please contact Rachel Orman at [email protected]. Together, Coventry’s businesses can make sure no local young person goes hungry this winter.
