The Institute of Coding at Coventry University has partnered with Touch FM to bring you an exciting one-day Storytelling CPD course.

Digital platforms provide unprecedented access to potential customers for your business. These channels are enormously powerful and at the same time infinitely sophisticated, so how come businesses continue to struggle with the effectiveness and ROI of their marketing and communications?

In a nutshell it's because all marketing takes place inside the prospect's mind - and to be invited into that carefully guarded real estate requires expertly crafted narrative.

Join our team of award-winning content producers, broadcasters and journalists for a journey into authentic storytelling.

You'll learn the fundamentals of effective narratives, discover the science and psyhcology of customer awareness and get a glimpse into the future of multi-platform marketing. Then in the afternoon, you'll take the skills you've learnt and put them into practice with our social workshop. Learn to shoot, frame and structure your posts like a pro.

This programme has been developed with the support of the Institute of Coding, a network of employers, universities, training providers and professional bodies working together to create the skills needed for the digital economy.

MTC ROBOTT-NET OPEN LAB

The Manufacturing Technology Centre, Ansty Park, Coventry, CV7 9JU

Date: 18 September 2019 - 10.00am - 2.00pm

MTC OFFERS GUIDANCE ON ROBOTICS AND AUTOMATION DECISIONS

ROBOTT-NET Open Lab to demonstrate technology and benefits

Robotics and automation experts at the Coventry-based Manufacturing Technology Centre are to hold a free event aimed at helping business leaders make the right decisions when it comes to automating their factories.

The Open Lab robotics and automation networking forum at the MTC on Wednesday, September 18 is aimed at decision makers and end users who appreciate the need for robotics and automation but are unsure of the best equipment to use, how to integrate it into their production lines, or how to measure the benefits.

End users, technology providers and suppliers are invited to the event, held under the auspices of the European-funded ROBOTT-NET project, of which the MTC is a partner, which aims to encourage the use of robotics and automation in industry. It is the fifth in a series of events at the MTC.

Jeremy Hadall, chief engineer for intelligent automation at the MTC, said the event would be a great opportunity to share successful case studies and network with technology providers and engineers who have been on their own automation journey.

"This is a networking forum which will allow delegates to explore ground-breaking and innovative industrial robotics and understand how they can benefit manufacturing operations. With experts on hand, round-table discussions and case study exhibits we will be able to highlight successful projects which have reaped the benefits of intelligent automation, and help people make the right decisions. It's all about technology transfer and the sharing of best practice." he said.

Anyone interested in registering for the event can do so at

The MTC was founded by the University of Birmingham, Loughborough University, the University of Nottingham and TWI Ltd. The MTC’s industrial members include some of the UK’s major global manufacturers.
