JLR Supply Chain Survey
To all Jaguar Land Rover supply chain businesses:
The recent cyber attack on JLR has resulted in a holt in production, that is now into its 3rd week, and the company has confirmed this morning, 23rd September, that this will continue until at least 1st October.
This has meant that orders for parts has been frozen and suppliers are locked out of their digital ordering systems - preventing deliveries and fulfilment of contracts. As well as the production of new cars, this is also affecting the maintenance of existing JLR vehicles.
In the West Midlands, JLR employs around 30,000 staff with a further 100,000 staff in its supply chain, and this crisis is now impacting hundreds of local automotive businesses. Whilst both JLR and the government are working hard to restore systems; we want to make sure that local supply chain businesses, across the West Midlands, get the support they need to survive this critical time.
We are working with Greater Birmingham and Black Country Chambers to help lobby on your behalf, and we need as much data as possible to highlight the issues you are facing and to feed potential solutions into the work that JLR, the government and SMMT are leading on nationally.
Please click here to fill in this short survey if you are in JLRs supply chain, or pass it on to any contacts you have that are supplying JLR.
The survey will run for 3 days, from Tuesday 23rd September to Friday 26th September with results released by Monday 29th September.
