Steph McGovern, the main business presenter on BBC Breakfast, will host the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Conference which will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Walsgrave.
The event, which attracts hundreds of delegates including regional business and civic leaders, has been scheduled in the middle of the Coventry and Warwickshire Business Festival on Friday, November 15.
The Chamber’s Annual Conference – which will be headline sponsored by WCG – will offer updates on the regional and national economy, will hear about key developments in the area and will gain key insights from local leaders.
The full list of speakers and overall agenda – including panel debates – will be revealed closer to the event but Martin Reeves, Chief Executive of Coventry City Council, and Monica Fogarty, Chief Executive of Warwickshire County Council, have already been confirmed.
Louise Bennett OBE DL, chief executive of the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are very pleased to be able to announce Steph McGovern as the host for this year’s annual conference.
“She is one of the most prominent business journalists on TV and radio and has been for many years now. Steph will bring great insight from her work in business journalism which will be an added attraction to this year’s conference.
“The feedback on our Annual Conferences over the past few years has been incredible as we have brought together the worlds of business and politics to offer real insight to delegates.
“We are full planning mode for this year’s event – right at the heart of the Coventry and Warwickshire Business Festival – and we are working hard to ensure that we get the blend of speakers and panellists exactly right again.”
Louise added: “We are delighted to have WCG on board as our headline sponsors again for what promises to be another fantastic day for our region.”
