eSpares, which helps customers fix their faulty appliances and become the heroes of their homes, supported the event in 2018 but this year decided to take its involvement to the next level by sponsoring the entire initiative.
To celebrate Superhero Day, the eSpares office was graced by no less than two Hulks, two Batmen, Captain Underpants and a visit from Free Radio Breakfast duo, Lauren and Ben. The team at eSpares’ headquarters was also treated to lots of heroically silly games throughout the day, including a balloon raffle hosted by Captain Underpants, speed face painting and a superhero-themed cake sale. Amid all the hilarity, however, was the serious objective of raising money for disadvantaged children.
In addition to Coventry Boys and Girls Club, the charities that will also benefit from this year’s Superhero Day include Murray Hall Community Trust, Evesham Adventure Playground Association, Worcester Snoezelen and Urban Devotion Birmingham.
Ad Casey, head of brand at eSpares, noted: “Once again, Superhero Day turned out to be a fabulous, inspiring event. We’re thrilled to have sponsored the initiative and would like to thank everyone who donated.”
He concluded: “At eSpares, we’re passionate about empowering people, while also giving something back to the local community. It’s been a great collective effort from employees at our head office in Small Heath and main warehouse facility in Bordesley Green. We’re looking forward to supporting Cash for Kids throughout the year, especially with the Mission Christmas campaign and hope to make at least a small difference to the lives of Midlands kids.”
