The Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce is holding its #CWRocks Business & Trade Expo at the Ricoh Arena on Friday, September 28 with more than 100 exhibitors signed up and hundreds more visitors set to attend.
During the event – which is headline sponsored by CityFibre – the Chamber is running a series of Learning Labs with experts from across the region offering advice and information on a range of topics.
As part of the Chamber’s new Go For Growth: Trade Local campaign, the first session features procurement professionals from Coventry City Council, Warwickshire County Council, the NHS Trust and LEVC.
They will detail how they utilise the services and products of businesses in the region and explain how firms can put themselves forward for tender opportunities.
Chris Nagle, of the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, said #CWRocks is offering firms across the city and the county the chance to develop contacts but also help them in the day-to-day running of their company.
He said: “The beauty of the Business & Trade Expo is it pulls hundreds of businesses from across the region under one roof for a day and it’s a chance to develop new contacts and cement existing ones.
“There will be companies of all sizes and sectors in attendance and our advice is to talk to as many businesses as possible and make sure you follow up after the event.
“As a Chamber, we give companies the chance to develop sustainable, long-term relationships with one another and the Expo is part of that.
“Our Trade Local campaign is all about developing those relationships and getting as many firms from across the patch buying and selling from one another.
“The Learning Lab on procurement will hear from our Chief Executive, Louise Bennett, on why the Chamber believes there is a genuine need to push local trade with so much uncertainty in the wider economy.
“And we are delighted that businesses will get to hear from four major organisations in the region, who buy-in goods and services from smaller companies.
“They will let firms know how to find out more about tender opportunities and how to put themselves forward to pitch for the work.
“It’s a great insight for companies of all sizes and sectors and fits perfectly with Go For Growth: Trade Local.”
Businesses wanting to attend are encouraged to register their attendance at www.cwexpo.co.uk in order to be in with a chance of winning prizes on the day.
