A five-strong team from the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce pitted their wits against the Prison Break escape room experience at Escape Live in Fargo Village.
Hazel Pilling, Cheyenne Angliss, Zoë Sweeney, Angela Lennox and Rachel Morgan took on the challenge of solving a series of clues in a bid to get out of the room within the hour.
And the fantastic five managed to complete the challenge with nearly five minutes to spare.
Now they are urging other companies to head to Escape Live for team-building, training or just a fun, social activity to bring staff together.
Hazel said: “We all absolutely loved it and, of course, we are very proud of ourselves for managing to escape within the hour.
“We worked really well together to solve the clues and while it’s quite intense at times, it’s also a lot of fun and we had a good laugh with each other too.
“It’s a brilliant experience and we’d definitely recommend that businesses make the most of it either on a formal basis for team-building or training purposes – or for a social get-together.
“We found it really put our communication skills to the test and got us working as a team throughout the action-packed hour. It’s definitely a way of boosting morale and team-spirit.
“We’re recommending that other members of the team here at the Chamber go along – but there’s no way that they will beat our time!”
John Dalziel, one of the founders of Escape Live – which now has venues in Stratford, Birmingham and Essex, all of which come highly recommended on TripAdvisor, said; “We’re delighted that the team at the Chamber enjoyed themselves and escaped.
“As well as appealing to friends, families and couples, we saw an opportunity very early on to attract businesses and have welcomed dozens of companies to our venues from all over the UK including Jaguar Land Rover, Severn Trent and DHL.
“The Chamber has thousands of members and we are looking forward to working with them to show what a great experience they have on their doorstep to treat and train staff.”
