The Leamington Spa-based firm has lined up a variety of speakers for the event, which will run from 8:30am to 1pm.
These include Jake Fellows, a Major Project Director at ENGIE, who will discuss how the company is combining skills, knowledge and innovation from both the energy sector and the construction industry to create sustainable regeneration strategies and efficient development solutions.
Wayne Langford, Director at West Midlands Combined Universities, will also speak on how working collaboratively and looking for ways to achieve mutual benefits in contracts can achieve better outcomes.
This event has become an important annual fixture for those in the construction sector and this year’s conference will reflect the current trend for collaboration and cooperation across the industry.
Michael Hiscock, partner at Wright Hassall, said: “The loose, informal theme for this event is ‘collaboration, partnership and efficiency’.
“We will be hearing from a panel of five expert speakers on a range of issues affecting the construction industry so everyone can take something different away from the day.
“The conference will be of interest to main and subcontractors, architects, engineers, surveyors and all those who work in and around the construction and engineering industry.
Also on the list of speakers for the day is Dan Smurthwaite, UK BIM Team Leader at GHD, who will discuss how technology can help contractors be more efficient with resources and Joe Malone, Principal at Malone Associates, who will talk about how to prevent reputational damage in the event of new building defects.
The line-up will be completed by Philip Harris, partner at Wright Hassall, who will give a briefing on relevant legal developments in the past 12 months, explaining the latest approach by the courts to current legal problems facing the construction industry.
