Andriy Buniak and Matthew Riding, Solicitors at Mander Hadley Solicitors, which has offices in Coventry and Kenilworth, will be taking on the challenge on 18 May 2019, alongside former Senior Accounts Assistant, Gemma Hoskin.
The challenge will see the trio ascend the highest peaks in each of Scotland, England and Wales within a 24-hour window. Trekking for around 15 hours, the team will climb approximately 10,000 feet and cover around 26 miles – the equivalent of a marathon.
Andriy, Matthew and Gemma are no strangers to charity fundraising events. Andriy has completed a memory walk in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society and a half marathon in support of both the Myton Hospices and the Ukrainian Youth Association.
Matthew has also completed a half marathon, raising funds for Lymphoma Action, while Gemma took part in a sponsored skydive, in aid of Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.
They now hope to raise £5,000 for the Air Ambulance Service.
Andriy said: “This is a daunting challenge, but one that I am confident we can rise to. We are already well underway with training for what will be a gruelling 24 hours.”
Matthew said: “We know this will not be an easy task, but we know that with support from our colleagues, clients and local people, we will be able to make a big difference in support of the Air Ambulance Service.”
Gemma added: “This is the toughest fundraising challenge I have taken part in yet, so I would encourage people to lend their support by sponsoring our efforts today.”
The trio will be supported on the day by a team of drivers in the form of the firm’s Managing Director, Jonathan Hall; Director, Elizabeth Jennings; and Accounts Manager, Laura Dale.
