Group Booking Discount for Mental Health First Aid Training
Expiry Date: 04/07/2021
Being on the job but not fully functioning is called presenteeism. This can happen when mental and physical health problems affect your work, but you still go in. Did you know that the cost to business can be as high as four times the cost of absenteeism? This was already a problem for UK businesses before Covid-19.
The pandemic has exacerbated many people’s mental health. Lockdown and social isolation have inevitably had an impact on our mental and emotional wellbeing. As restrictions ease, we need to continue the conversation about mental health and its impact on the people we work with.
Having a qualified Mental Health First Aider in your organisation helps to offer support to individuals and promote awareness of mental health issues. When people feel seen and heard they feel better and they will work better.
Research has shown that early intervention – investing in training and support for staff teams, identifying signs of mental ill health and addressing those issues – can lead to a 1:5 return on investment.
Coventry and Warwickshire Mind are offering businesses a group rate, available to members for Coventry and Warwickshire.
