Your Job Specification:
- Source/manufacture spare parts to maintain stock levels for critical and wear parts
- Support for tooling related issues in Production
- Manufacture of new parts when required
- Improvement of fixtures
- Managing fixture changes due to product design
- Maintenance of existing tooling to retain tolerances
- Create and maintain fixture TPM audits
- Update CAD and 3D files to reflect changes to ensure most recent drawing level is available
- Work with trainees to improve knowledge within the business
- Complies with all company policies, procedures and guidelines including
- Assist with capability studies
- Maintain tooling spares inventory.
- RCA fixture issues and implement robust solutions
Your Profile:
- 5 years in complex fixturing/tooling role
- Time reserved toolmaker – machining/tool setting
- Have knowledge of CNC control systems
- Working knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic clamping systems
- Demonstrate skills in turning, milling, grinding and tool optimization
- Have a proactive approach to tooling concerns
- Knowledge of continuous improvement
