► Young Chamber Students Garden for Sustainability
The Student Young Chamber Council of Alcester Grammar School has proposed to start a Vegetable Garden for the entire school to get involved with and now they have been given the money to start this sustainable business idea. The council proposes that a garden be built where crops like fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers be grown and sold later. Read more >>
► Never be without a pen again thanks to Caludon Castle Young Chamber
The Young Chamber Council has decided to set up a stationery stall in the school library to supply stationery equipment to students who may have forgotten or run out of some of the stationery they need for lessons. Through market research the group will decide what to stock, and set-up and how to market the service to the whole school. Read more >>
► Young Chamber Students Bag for Life
Following the decision to design, manufacture and sell a Young Chamber Bag for Life, things have been moving fast for the Young Chamber students of Cardinal Wiseman School. The size and shape of the bag has been decided, along with some possible designs. These objectives will be finalised in the upcoming school year and a suitable manufacturer found. Read more >>
► Coundon Court's Roar Radio hits the waves
Around 250 pupils packed into the hall at Coundon Court School, Coventry for the launch party of Roar Radio.
The format of ROAR is an online podcast radio station and students can logon to the school website from home or school and download the podcasts to their MP3 players. Although 6 students have been involved in establishing the radio station, the idea is that all students in the school can contribute by creating their own podcasts which will then be published. ► Young Chamber Student's to 'Meet, Greet & Eat'
This term Ernesford Grange School has finally seen a transformation of an outside area into a ‘Meet, Greet & Eat’ area. After a long planning process, the tarmac has been laid and benches delivered and installed. Read more>>
► A busy term for Grace Academy's Young Chamber
Grace Academy Young Chamber represented Coventry & Warwickshire at the British Chamber of Commerce Conference at the Birmingham ICC in April 2009. The group introduced the Young Chamber and its aims and objectives. This was part of an hour long presentation including four other Young Chamber schools in the West Midlands and YCUK. The students were then given the opportunity to network with other schools and businesses at the exhibition. Read more >>
