Quarterly Economic Survey

The British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) Quarterly Economic Survey (QES) is the largest and most representative business survey of its kind. It has proven to be an incredibly accurate leading economic indicator, and allowed the BCC in 2008 to be the first business group to confirm that the UK was entering recession.

This survey allows businesses to express their views on a number of issues affecting their day to day business, particularly in the current economic climate. The British Chamber of Commerce use this data to inform the development of regional and national policy.

The Bank of England use QES data to inform interest rate decisions, and HM Treasury referenced the survey in its last Budget report. Furthermore, international financial institutions are subscribers to the QES, and use it as a tool to assess the state of the UK economy.

To contribute to the reduction of our carbon footprint we will now be conducting our Quarterly Economic Survey on line. I would appreciate it if you could complete the questionnaire on the link below or forward it on to the most appropriate person with in your organisation for completion.
