Atherstone Chamber of Trade affiliation
04/02/2010
The Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce has signed an agreement with the Atherstone Chamber of Trade and Commerce.
The two organisations have put pen to paper on an affiliation which will see them work together in the future.
Jenny Hooper, the Northern Warwickshire Branch Chair of the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, signed the deal with Jenny Carter of the Atherstone Chamber of Trade and Commerce at the Red Lion Hotel in the town.
Hooper, who runs a freight-forwarding business, said: “We are very pleased to sign this agreement, which will ultimately benefit local businesses.
“It will mean we can organise joint networking events for the good of members of both organisations and the Chamber of Trade can now tap into some of the services available to our members.
“We look forward to working together in the future for the benefit of everyone.”
The Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce represents around 2,000 companies across the region and the Northern Warwickshire Branch meets once a month to discuss issues affecting the local area.
It offers a range of services including business advice, HR and legal support, networking opportunities, international trade support, lobbying and an insight into key issues for the region.
Carter said: “This is a very good opportunity for everyone. We have already had meetings previously with the Chamber of Commerce and they have proved to be very useful.
“This agreement is a formal extension of that and we look forward to working together in the coming weeks, months and years for the good of the town.”
