As a Chamber member, your local branch provides a useful way to engage with businesses in your area and assist in addressing issues relevant to the business community at a local level.
A common concern amongst both the local and wider business community is how to ensure that young people have the skills which we need when looking for new recruits. Work experience placements may be one of a number of ways in which we can equip young people with the skills and experience necessary to operate effectively workplace.
We would like to take this opportunity to ask you a few questions about your experience in providing work experience placements to young people and whether you think this is useful way to provide them with an understanding of the workplace.
As part of the survey, we would also like to understand your key concerns as a local business owner. This will inform how we structure future activities of our localMid-Warwickshire branch. Details are included below about the branch if you would like to get more involved.

The Mid-Warwickshire branch
As you may be aware, our local Chamber branch covers Leamington, Warwick and Kenilworth. The current branch chair is Sophie Howe, Director of Leamington based company, Comtec.
A branch committee meeting is held every 2 months. Branch events are then held quarterly.
We would welcome your attendance at all branch events and ask for any input on how events should be structured. A question is included in the survey to provide feedback. If you would like to meet with Sophie or a member of the committee to discuss the work of the branch, and/or your membership and business advisor, to ensure you are using all the benefits of your membership to fully add value to your business.
